Scenic Adventures

Canopy Tours

Experience one of South Africa’s fastest growing eco-adventures with thousands of satisfied thrill-seekers having already caught the bug.

A Canopy Tour takes you on an unforgettable adventure as you zipline from one platform to the next along a series of steel cables set amongst magnificent natural surroundings. Canopy Tours are now available at various unique locations around South Africa and each zipline adventure takes place in a completely different environment and offers a new experience from the last one. Safe for almost all ages (we have had 5 year old and 85 year old) Canopy Tours are enjoyed by nature lovers, families and thrill seekers.

Bungee Jumping

For most people, looking over the edge of a 216m bridge might be quite enough of a thrill. For others though, throwing themselves off the bridge is a far better pastime.

Bungee jumping in South Africa has earned a global reputation for its claim to having the highest commercial bungee jump in the world. Positioned along the gorgeous Garden Route, the Bloukrans Bungee Jump will send you plummeting 216m, headfirst, towards the bottom. Because of the extreme height of this bungee jump, a full body harness is used, instead of the traditional ankle harness. The harness, combined with a technique called ā€˜pendulum bungee technology’, makes for a very comfortable jump – considering the fact that you’re jumping off a 216m high bridge.

Cage Diving

Shark cage diving in South Africa has grown greatly in popularity and there are now a number of commercialized locations to view these incredible monsters of the deep. Your adrenaline is sure to pump as you come almost face to face with the sea’s most awesome predators. Shark cage diving is absolutely safe and you need not have any diving experience at all. Just before you start, you’ll receive a short course on general safety and the use of the equipment and you’re good to go.

The South African winter, which is from May to October, is the best time to experience a South African shark cage dive. These months are considered to be the high season, but Sharks are generally seen throughout the year. The weather in South Africa can be quite unpredictable, so it is best to book a tour that lasts a few days. There are two main places in South Africa that promise fantastic shark cage diving experiences namely at Gansbaai and Mossel Bay.

Snorkeling & Scuba Diving

From the border of Namibia to the border of Mozambique the coastline of South Africa stretches for a remarkable 1700 miles of opening on to the two oceans (the Atlantic and the Indian) and its different climate areas, South Africa offers a wide range of underwater environments. Of course, the South African coastline has no shallow coral reef, but it has instead seagrass meadows, rocky coves and kelp forests, with plenty of amazing and endemic marine species. There you can get up close to surgeonfish, octopuses, scorpionfish and butterflyfish, as well as penguins and sea lions

The immense variety of tropical reefs, ship wrecks and an absolutely stunning variety of sea-life make for a memorable South African snorkelling experience. The warm Agulhas current that flows down the KwaZulu Natal coast allows the tropical reefs to flourish, and the water seldom drops below 20Āŗ C, summer or winter.

With so much water at its disposal, it’s inevitable that the country is one of Africa’s best destinations for scuba divers. The diving is incredibly diverse, from kelp forest adventures in the temperate waters of the Cape to the vibrant, tropical reefs of northern KwaZulu-Natal. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a complete beginner, there’s something for all kinds of divers in South Africa.

Lets dive in and see what is bubbling below the surface
